In the middle of the zoo, right next to the "Day at the Sea" playground, there is a place full of encounters. Here, children can pet goats—and we, as the wvm Group, can now be a part of it.
There are moments when the construction site briefly fades into the background. Instead of hard hats and construction plans, our managing director Dr. Clemens Paschke enjoyed pats and the smell of hay on this particular day.
On April 22, 2025, the wvm Group was officially invited to Berlin Zoo for the symbolic handover of sponsorship of the popular petting zoo. After a lengthy closure due to illness, the area had only recently reopened and has since become an even more popular favorite spot, especially for families. "The proximity to nature, learning about responsibility, and direct contact with the animals – that's more than just entertainment. It's educationally valuable and emotionally formative. And that's exactly what we want to promote," said Dr. Clemens Paschke.
For us, the sponsorship is more than just a symbol: it stands for cooperation—between people and animals, between urban society and nature, between project development and social responsibility. With the Zwieseler Hof, our new construction project in the immediate vicinity of the zoo, we are creating long-term living space for Berlin. By supporting the petting zoo, we are investing in quality of life that goes beyond living space.
We would like to thank the entire zoo team for their trust and cooperation, and we look forward to many years together filled with goats, children's smiles, and mutual appreciation.
