The wvm Group and Goldbeck announced their partnership at this year’s Expo Real in Munich. The brief but symbolic reception drew numerous guests, who were impressed by the spirit of partnership and the forward-looking presentation. On stage were Dr. Clemens Paschke, Managing Director of the wvm Group Berlin; Jan-Hendrik Goldbeck, Managing Partner of Goldbeck; Robert Wall, Managing Director at Goldbeck; and Wolfgang von Moers, owner of the wvm Group. Together, they announced a new era of mass housing construction in the condominium market that will bring about lasting change to the market in Berlin and beyond.
Innovative Construction Methods for the Condo Market
Goldbeck brings its many years of experience in serial and systematized construction to this partnership. The company prefabricates key components industrially in its own plants and assembles them just-in-time on the construction site. This efficient construction method saves time and costs and ensures the highest quality. What’s new about this partnership is the combination of this construction method with the individual requirements of the condominium market—an area that has primarily been tested in rental housing construction to date. This combination makes it possible to create customized housing solutions that are both flexible and attractively priced.
“We are proud to be opening a new chapter in private residential construction together with Goldbeck. This collaboration combines efficiency and individuality in a completely new way,” said Dr. Clemens Paschke in his speech. He emphasized that the wvm Group’s projects in Berlin—Berkenbrücker Steig 18–19 with 44 condominiums, Liebermannstraße 70 with 48 condominiums, and the Zwieseler Hof with 321 units (147 of which are condominiums)—serve as prime examples of this innovative collaboration.
Future-Oriented Projects
In total, the wvm Group and Goldbeck will jointly develop 413 apartments in Berlin by 2026. These projects set new standards in German residential construction and serve as a prime example of future-oriented building practices. They demonstrate that by combining efficiency, flexibility, and cost reduction, it is possible to create customized solutions for buyers that strengthen the housing market as a whole.
Jan-Hendrik Goldbeck, who was symbolically presented with a golden shovel by Wolfgang von Moers, added: “With this partnership, we are demonstrating that when all stakeholders roll up their sleeves, we can create the flagship projects that the German housing sector needs. With technical and procedural expertise, flexibility, and creative prowess, we’re demonstrating how systematic and serial construction works. The wvm Group is ready to join us on this path. This is how we’ll realize affordable housing projects that aim to be faster and more cost-effective than the conventional approach. Thank you to wvm for this trust. Together, we are addressing society’s need for affordable, high-quality housing.”
Robert Wall von Goldbeck emphasized in his remarks: “Serial construction has already revolutionized the rental housing sector—now we’re bringing this efficiency and speed to the condominium market as well. Together with the wvm Group, we’re realizing projects that are flexible, high-quality, and, above all, affordable.”
Wolfgang von Moers added: “This partnership is an example of how we are not only responding to the current challenges in housing construction but also laying the groundwork for a sustainable, innovative future. It’s about more than efficiency—it’s about how we can fundamentally improve the way people live.”
The symbolic handing over of the golden shovel from Wolfgang von Moers to Jan-Hendrik Goldbeck marked the beginning of this new collaboration and underscored their shared ambition to revolutionize condominium construction in Berlin and Germany.
With this partnership, the wvm Group and Goldbeck are not only setting a standard for efficiency and innovation but also offering an attractive solution for buyers seeking affordable and modern housing options in a market fraught with uncertainty. Housing Construction 2.0—that is the future of construction in Germany.
