Berlin, February 3, 2026 – Last Friday, the topping-out ceremony took place for the residential project at Liebermannstraße 70 in Berlin's Weißensee district. Completion of the 48-unit condominium project by the wvm Group Berlin is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026 after a 22-month construction period.
The building, with its striking curves, was designed by the renowned Berlin architectural firm Stephan Höhne. "Liebermannstraße 70 is a good example of aesthetically sophisticated residential construction in Berlin," says Clemens Paschke, managing director of the wvm Group Berlin. "The building is being constructed at a time of diverse challenges, when wvm is one of the few companies still building apartments in Berlin and when it has also become difficult for potential buyers to find a suitable apartment."
The wvm Group Berlin offers a diverse mix of one- to four-room apartments at Liebermannstraße 70, including three-room apartments starting at €483,000. Twenty of the 48 apartments have already been sold. Residents can expect a new building that meets the KfW-40-EE (renewable energies) standard with attractive depreciation options and favorable KfW subsidies, as well as an in-house PV system and heat pumps. Triple-glazed windows and comprehensive soundproofing measures ensure quiet living.
The shell is being constructed by GOLDBECK as the general contractor using serial construction methods. David Fischer, Managing Director of the wvm Group Berlin, and Sebastian Bethge, Branch Manager of GOLDBECK Nordost GmbH, praised the collaboration, which is to be continued in further projects. The wvm Group Berlin's development portfolio currently comprises around 600 apartments.
Dirk Stettner, chairman of the CDU faction in the Berlin House of Representatives and directly elected representative from Weißensee, welcomed the project. "Berlin needs new buildings. Berliners need affordable and energy-optimized living space. Weißensee is both a center and a charming neighborhood. And we need entrepreneurs who do just that—who don't just identify needs and lament deficits, but take action. Here, prefabricated properties that meet the KfW 40 EE standard are being created for many owner-occupiers. This will ease the strain on the tight rental market and create security for local families. With this in mind, I am delighted that Liebermannstraße will not only provide a new home for many people, but also another opportunity for home ownership."
