Two modern new buildings that harmoniously integrate the existing building and create a new public space that enhances the quality of life with its commercial offerings on the ground floor. The new buildings respond to the existing "Fuhrwerkswaage" art gallery and, although their uses and number of floors are different, they incorporate the Fuhrwerkswaage as the third building in the complex, quasi as its small, different brother.
The history of the Sürth railway station is continued in the two buildings with their overall red tone, surrounding clinker brick facade, and monolithic design language. Accent areas on the surface of the clinker bricks and modern letterboxes with perforated sheet metal cladding bridge the gap to the present day and give the buildings their neo-industrial charm.
The large entrance areas convey a feeling of spaciousness and lead to the elevator or staircase, which shines with its high-quality design: gray natural stone stairs, an oak handrail, and concrete seating complete the concept.
