Sustainable Energy Supply—Generated Locally
The solar panels on the roofs, oriented east-west, generate a total output of 41 kilowatts peak, producing approximately 34,000 kilowatt-hours per year. naturstrom then uses this local green electricity to power the two air-to-water heat pumps, whose outdoor units are also mounted on the roofs. In addition, the green energy provider offers the 37 households a tenant electricity rate that combines the solar power generated on-site with green electricity from the public grid.
In addition to their own electricity, the apartments at Hö benefit from their construction as Efficiency House 55 buildings, as this reduces the buildings’ primary energy demand by 45% compared to a new building constructed according to the ENEV 2016 standards.
